It seems like years ago that you were here that weekend. So much has happened since then. You've handled it all really well and managed to stay really upbeat during the deployment.
Hopefully with your mom's visit and some more girl weekends, your homecoming will be here in no time!
The lose of a loved one is never easy; when that loved one takes their life, its even harder. I know its been a while, but I'm very sorry for your and your families loss.
You're so close to the end...hopefully time will speed up for you. :)
I talked to my dad briefly today about mom. He said she's doing so much better these last few months. I haven't seen her since August so I'm very excited.
Ya, that's not going to happen! Drag, drag, drag...
A whole year! It must feel good to have most of the deployment behind you. A year ago today Matt came home from Iraq and was in New Jersey doing his out processing stuff. I know how you feel about not grieving properly - my grandfather passed a week before we found out Matt was deploying, so I had so many hard emotions to deal with at once and I think to stay sane, we have to process what we can and that time and sometimes that means not dealing with it all at once! And when you have time to breath...whew..I don't know if that makes sense to someone else, but it does to me :) I am hoping that the next few weeks FLY for you!!!
Ya, a year is a lot to have behind us but the almost 3 months left seems like a huge amount of time. Thanks though, I certainly hope time starts to tick a bit faster.
Goodness gracious. I had to read a few sentences then move on to another entry then go back and read a few more (it took me over 15 mins to read your entry).
Chris will be home soon :) Hopefully you guys will PCS and this will be the last deployment for quite some time!
I think the distance makes a stronger relationship. Your communication skills are better than the average couple's. Yeah, the transitions are hard, but it's worth it :)
Gosh who would have thought a trip to the washroom would have led to all this? Craziness.
One year down, a few months to go. We're winding down this deployment thank goodness.
Me too. I've been thinking way way waaaay to much about our Korea days. Back to the thinking and alone comment. If we move to Maryland I will be much closer and will be making regular trips back home. Plus if you ever feel the need to travel within North America (ya right) you can visit us easily!

I have my moments!
Well the next two weeks should be great. Time is just doing weird stuff lately. Maybe it's because we're getting toward the end of it all.
