Brooklyn only in.

I'm open for crit for everyone else it was generally "didn't tickle my funny bone," with a "too emo" for Riku and "that just didn't sound like Ella to me" for Ella.

Was it too emo? I was aiming more for bland frustration. Annoyance, really, more than emo. The character really isn't as emo as the fandom makes him seem.

The app was very stiff and stilted, which gave it a very "crawling in my skin" feeling.

I love you just for apping, actually, because Ella Enchanted is one of my favorite books. ♥

The voice I got didn't sound a lot like Ella to me, though--maybe it's just a different take on the book? ^^ But it sounds a wee bit too, er, snotty? No pun intended. And while the jokes were kind of cute, nothing really stood out to me or made me smile.

Still, if you don't get in this round, please reapp! I'd love to see the crackiness of Ella in camp.

He's a character I can play but it is hard to get it across in an app.

I know, but I love Kingdom Hearts, and especially Riku, and I tend to be really picky about characters I feel that way about.

It's kind of choppy and doesn't flow well (considering the canon, it can be seen as IC, but). It also kind fo read like a checklist. "Mention the toucans, mention the zombies, mention the gorillas, mention the barrier, etc." As for ICness... eh. Decent voice, but not an amazing one.

I could go more in-depth but I'm knee-deep in work right now, and I'm not incredibly coherent.

Feel free to try to change my mind.

I agree with the check-list, what can I say? I wanted to work hard on the app but got curb-stomped by job and class. *fist shake in Life's general direction*

In retrospect, yes, I should have had more focus. Probably more about him searching for the door.

As for the voice, yes, this is a voice I KNOW I can do but damn with the hard of capturing it when I have nobody to talk to. He is. . .very reaction-oriented. Vexen even took note of it, heh.

It seemed slightly too . . . emo poet-ish? I'm not sure if that's the best way to describe it, but it was very stiff. Take Shinn's advice because I am not coherent shh and try again, because Riku is seriously camp material and I want him here.
