Character: Hino Rei
Series: Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon ( live-action )
Character Age: 14
Canon: Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is about five girls whose destiny is to fight against Queen Beryl and find their princess, along with the Mystical Silver Crystal. Using special bracelets, they transform into soldiers who fight in the name of the moon for love and justice. However, the Hino Rei in this series is almost nothing like her counterpart in the anime/manga.

Hino Rei is a priestess who has a sixth sense that allows her to sense things like monsters, as well as people's auras. Originally, she thought this was a bad omen, but she finally found her calling once she became Sailor Mars. She, like her friends, has a phone that allows her to take pictures of people's clothing, which then places them on her; this helps her go incognito for when a disguise is necessary to complete a mission. And even though her personality is strict and serious, she still has a few moments of outright cheerfulness. Later on, though, due to her fellow soldier Minako's help, she becomes more open with herself as well as to others.

Sample Post:

I've come here because the esteemed Elizabeth Sayre has asked me to use my sixth sense to help in the investigation of her fiancé. Normally, I would refuse such an offer because most of these offers involve large amounts of cash that a priestess like me shouldn't accept. But I sensed something from the letter she sent me and had visions of monsters attacking innocent people, as well as other things that I refuse to mention. The most I can say is that it is sickening and that children shouldn't be touched by . . . that. Yes, I know her name is Marcy, but my duty is the protect the children as a soldier. Someone has to.

However, now that I'm here, I realize that there is more to this than I originally thought. For instance, the thoughts of the purple gorillas verge upon indecency. Yes, I said your thoughts were indecent. Thinking about touching people in that manner is both unproductive as well as rude. So is throwing a fit. I don't care if you've got 'jock itch.' If you can speak as you do, then you're civilized enough to know the difference between good and bad. And if I have to, I'll teach this to you the hard way, just like I teach my friends when they need to be more serious. It's necessary to do things right, and right now, all you're doing is screeching out nonsense. It's not like I even know what you mean when you say stoop doggy dog, but I'd appreciate it if you stopped blabbering on like a buffoon.

And, no, I don't care if the toucans are telling you that I have a short skirt and red hooker heels in my soldier form. Telling me to click my heels won't do a thing either. They may be red, but this isn't the Wizard of Oz, and I refuse to transform for the sake of your lecherous wants. And please give my phone back, I haven't a clue as to how you got your hands on it, but trying to use my phone to do a 'sexy no jutsu' isn't helping matters at all. Now hand it over and direct me to the office of Elizabeth Sayre so that I can speak to her about the conditions, as well as the inhabitants of this camp.

I said to direct me, not to carry me! Put me down this instant! I don't care if you say I'm flaming; I said put me down-- where is your hand going?! That's it! Mars Power! Make-up! Senshi of flame and passion, Sailor Mars! In the name of Mars, I'll punish you! Now go die in a fire-- Haah? What are you doing now? Wait, you're leaving because my transformation sequence was too long?! That's not-- Come back here! I said come back here!

Character Name: Minako Aino
Age: 14
Series: Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (live-action)
Canon: Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight, never running from a real fight, she is the overly CGI live-action version of Sailor Moon! Determined to overcome the fate of the "past life," a time long ago when the Earth was vaporized by an unknown power, the Sailor Senshi have awakened in the modern day. Five middle-school girls transform into magical fighters to fight the evil forces of the Dark Kingdom. The leader of the group and first to fully recall the doomed past life, Minako Aino-- Senshi of love and beauty, Sailor Venus!-- is easily the least like her anime/manga counterpart.

When not saving everyone and their mother from the monster of the week, Minako lives life as a Japanese pop idol. She is known the world over but still manages to find time to sing for sick children at the hospital while simultaneously getting updates on her own brain cancer status. She is determined, focused and entirely willing to die to achieve her goals as Venus, which when combined with a hatred for losing equates one Super Serious Senshi. Minako is rarely seen smiling and uses her illness as an excuse not to get close to anyone; the fewer people who know her well, the fewer people will be saddened by her death.

In true idol fashion, Minako's songs carry the cast and story with their lyrics.

App post:

I know Manager said he'd be late, but it's been hours. Now we've got a late start on our hands. Where is he? The only thing I can be sure of right now is that he didn't wind up on the planet Mars. Yes, I already know he's a man, but that doesn't mean he went to his "home planet". I suppose you think I'm from Venus too right? I knew it. You don't have to say anything else. Let's just give this new song a try before the concert tonight. OK, here we go-- Music start!

--I'm sorry, can we stop? I need to rest just for a moment. Can someone please look for Manager again? I want to go over these lyrics with him. There's something off about this whole thing . . . Now of course I don't mind coming all this way to do a benefit concert for little kids, but only for one? We have much more important things to do, even if this is a charity event. We don't have a lot of time to get ready, you know.

OK everyone, pay close attention! We only have one chance to get this right and that means everything has to go off without a hitch. There's no way we're ready to go on right now. For starters-- You in the purple suit! That won't do at all. I thought I made myself clear an hour ago. Not only is the theme not the jungle, but you've got to lose that sandwich board. "If you got the money we got your disease" is completely inappropriate. This is a concert for sick children, not a wildlife free for all. What don't you understand about its importance? Listen closely if you can. This is very serious business, so-- stop laughing! What's with this attitude?

Has anyone even prepared the lighting for the finale yet? I want to get the person in the letter onstage with me. Manager already agreed with me, so it will be fine as long as we know which seat she's in. Once we have that . . . Hey! Look alive, people! This is no way to treat our one chance. Honestly . . . Guess I just can't work with volunteers like this. They're going to pieces on me. Oh! They're here for the concert too, I guess? It is a Charity Fundraiser for Unusual Diseases.

OK everyone, let's call this a wrap and get some of you wrapped up. We can work the mummified look in somehow. It's got to make more sense than the jungle look in Louisiana. Thank you all for trying so hard today. Let's be sure to reach out and touch everyone in the audience-- especially lonely little Marcy. Everyone, let's take it from the top and remember! I want this to go just as planned.

Character name: Touya Akira
Series: Hikaru no Go
Age: 15

Canon: Have you ever played a game where the pieces make dramatic entries on the board, tension fills the air and the players have an intensity like nothing else while playing? This is where it happens. At the age of 12, Shindou Hikaru is whisked into the world of the complicated board game of Go after meeting the ghost of an ancient professional Go player named Sai, who teaches him the game. After using Sai's skills to beat a kid his own age named Touya Akira, who just happens to be a professional Go player, Hikaru becomes determined to learn the game for himself. Akira, while walking his path to become a top pro, realizes it isn’t quite as straight as he thought it’d be after playing Sai. He chases Sai in Hikaru's shadow, but when faced with and disappointed by Hikaru's own rookie weakness he decides to leave him behind, which causes Hikaru to chase Akira to show him he's worthy. Which in turn makes Akira determined to get further ahead of him. And thus, the circle of life continues (AND IT MOVES US ALL).

Touya Akira is ruthless and shows no mercy when it comes to battling... on the Go board. He respects and sometimes fears those stronger than himself, but doesn't let that discourage him. Having been raised to play Go, Akira is an extremely determined and focused prodigy. His world revolves around Go, and when not playing, he is polite and quiet, and has next to no friends his own age due to spending most of his time with the older generation of Go players. Often seeming unreachable and a tad socially retarded, Akira isn’t very well-liked due to his innocent and honest confidence when playing the game. It seems almost impossible to make him angry or reckless about his play outwardly, which sometimes infuriates people.

Note: The "Hand of God" is displayed in the series as the Ultimate Move you can play out. Everyone seeks to reach it. Nigiri = term for the method of deciding who gets to play first.

Sample Post: Excuse me? I was wondering where I might find the Go tournament hall? I think I have turned the wrong way, because there was a tree with strange growths on it ... I am almost positive those were not fruit. I suppose the hall should be marked on this map, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get there. It also says that "Marcy-san" is the one in charge of it. By the lake? How strange. Hm? I do not see why it should be a problem playing Go one-armed, why do you ask? Oh, of course. Losing an arm must be hard to deal with, but I assure you that playing Go does not require both. You kind of look quite pale, are you sure you are all right? Maybe you should rest for a while until it passes? I'm sure I can find my way to the lake on my own. Thank you for the help.

What a strange place to hold a tournament! I suppose it is warm enough to stay outside, but if there were a gust of wind it could disturb the stones on the board. This is the first time I have experienced it being held outdoors. The participants are also a bit weird. Well, as long as I can help, I guess it will be fine. Oh, there is the tournament banner-- "How to reach the Hand of God training camp" ... what? That is strange. This was certainly not on the pamphlet I got at the institute.

What a peculiar gathering. Are you sure you are all supposed to be here? This is a Go tournament, not a zoo-- oh. Forgive me, that was not very pleasant of me. Oh, no you do not have to leave! I was merely surprised. You do not suppose everyone here is going to play...? I was told it was a special case of participants, a-and I guess it is. Ahaha, I am sorry, I was not intending to be rude. Where can I find the tournament leader? I believe their name was 'Marcy'. Not here yet? Alright, I will wait. Does this mean they know the Hand of God? No, it must just be the name.

So I should play Marcy-san first? Then where is-- Oh. Are you ... Marcy-san? And you know the Hand of God? ... no, wait. That should not involve tentacles and --! would you mind keeping those to yourself, M-Marcy-san! Right, so let us start a game. Do you want to nigiri or should I-- I see you already chose black. Then it is you who should begin. No, that move is not a legitimate one. Must I advice you to keep your hands, ah, tentacles, above the board at all times where I can see them?

No! A crotch g-grab does not substitute as playing the game!

Character: Tokage
Series: Tokage
Character Age: 20
Canon: What happens when you stick your hand in the wrong cookie jar? For Tokage, the equivalent of that meant she was subjected to thousands and thousands of years of living, dying and repeating the whole torturous cycle all over again. Only this time, it's going to stop, with the help of a young personal battery teenager named Shinobu, Tokage is going to overturn her cursed fate one way or another.

After her previous body perished, the spirit known as Tokage is inhabiting the body of Yuuka, Shinobu's dead sister. She is cunning and smart, often ready to use any advantage at her disposal. Yet, Tokage has a core of honesty that she never forsakes and a righteous temper if you get on her bad side. She can be kind and caring (in a housewife way), but she has a deeper understanding and perceptiveness that'll catch you off-guard. Oh, and she doesn't mind using her body to get what she wants either~.

Note - Despite inhabiting a female body, Tokage has the ability to change sex.

Sample Post:

Well, well, what do we have here?

I've never seen such a congregation of low-level spirits such as yourselves. Why, I don't even have to bother fighting when I can just walk all over you. By the way, it was very kind of you zombies to let yourself be my pathway in such a filthy place, even if you are all only marginally cleaner. I'm glad you saw things my way when we came to this agreement. Helping each other out is the best way to get things done... though backrubs are not the kind of help I want to bestow upon you at the moment. But right now, I have a rather pressing issue to deal with. There's a brat I'm responsible for. I need to find him right away, no questions asked. Trust me, if you get him back to me, I will be ever so grateful. And the rewards can be endless if you get my meaning~. Now run along and get that done for me, will you? And do something to fix yourself up, you're falling apart step by step. No woman likes an untidy man, you know~

Of course, I should have known that you shouldn't really trust these low-level spirits, since their attention span lasts until the next brain falls. Oh wait, it already has. I suppose I'll have to search for him myself. Tch, Shinobu, why must you be so problematic? Nee-chan is going to scold you later for this~. Now... where to start, I wonder? Ah, the lakeside looks promising with its intimidating signposts and menacing loudspeakers close by. Surely he would be somewhere in that area. It seems to be the least congested with all these scum-like human degenerates. I applaud them for their forwardness since it's been a while since someone snuck up from behind to fondle me~. I had to let him down gently of course. Though, when he brought his friends to join in the fun, well, I really can't help the way my legs move with very, very gentle kicks. It's an automatic reaction and I always do get a little touchy in crowded areas~. Honestly, the things I have to endure just to get anywhere these days.

Tch, he's not here at the lake. Though there seems to be someone else to greet me from that rising lump in the lake. Hello there ♥~. I, for one, am glad to make your acquaintance, Marcy. You're not like the others around these parts, I'll grant you that. You certainly have a lot more "virtues" stored under your belt or... if you prefer, your appendages, and I can tell you know a whole lot about this place. That kind of information can come in handy~ especially for myself, a newcomer or "fresh meat" if you prefer. You must know everything about this place, particularly the odd rituals where slapping now signals marriage and taking eyes is like a declaration of love. But right now I desire one thing and I'm willing to give you what you need only if~ you can give me what I want. This is going to be a very fruitful relationship. Oh, don't worry if I can't satisfy you in my current form.

I come in male as well. Whichever you prefer~.

Character: Shinobu
Series: Tokage
Character Age: 14-ish
Canon: Life sucks and then you die . . . only that in Tokage's case, the die part never came. That is Tokage's reality: condemned to live forever, Tokage has been forced to go from one body to the next, with the only goal of finding whoever put that curse on her. Using the body of Shinobu's dead sister as her host, and Shinobu as her yori (aka spiritual battery), Tokage hopes that she will be able to find the person who cursed her and then, she will be able to finally have a normal, human life, and her eternal rest once and for all.

Now we have Shinobu, who has the special ability to see spirits, and became Tokage's yori to protect his sister's body. Because of this, Shinobu is a shy, calm, but somewhat polite teenager. With a tendency to engage in pessimist monologues inside his head, Shinobu comes out as reserved and smart to strangers unless an extreme situation is forced upon him. It's easy for Shinobu to get flustered, upset, bossy or stuttery; especially where Tokage is concerned. Shinobu also has problems accepting his feelings but honestly, who wouldn't get embarrassed if the way to recharge Tokage's energy requires close physical contact? Ultimately, Shinobu often shows a desire to understand the situation he's in, and a more confrontational side when others are getting hurt, going as far as putting himself in danger to protect them.

Note: Neechan is how Shinobu refers to his sister Yuuka and Tokage.

Sample Post:

Ah, this is confusing.

I really want to know how I got here . . . Still, this is strange no matter how I look at it. Not only did Neechan disappeared suddenly, but the only lead I have to find her is this letter from someone named Sayre-san. A-And I really want to know how this person found out about me being a yori! No one was supposed to know outside grandpa and me! B-But it still doesn't mean I'll be the source of power for all the beings in need in this swamp, no matter what it says here! If that's truly their condition to take me to her, then I don't need their help to find Neechan! I've had more than enough with one being touching me all the time, I don't need another spirit with no proper sense of personal space hanging around me!

Honestly, I can do it without help! I just need to hurry, if I was taken here that means I should be able to find her somewhere around here. Haaa . . . Of course Neechan had to get lost, she has no respect for Yuuka-neechan's body at all. I bet she's being reckless and fooling around as usual right now, and this place looks dangerous enough as it is! Not that I know where we are exactly and the letter just says 'Screw-you-land' . . . But I need to make sure her body is okay, the sooner I find her the better. This really is not the time to be sight seeing. It's not even as if there was much to see here, other than dead people and . . . Why would she bring neechan's body-- ugh, nevermind. I just know that there's something evil lurking in the dark, what is she gonna do if something creeps behind her? Honestly, I better get going.

Uh, a lake? That glowing is kind of unusual, too. What's that thing coming out-? Wh-What are you? Don't me you're the one who needs me help?! Ah, wait, this is a mistake, I didn't agree to help you! I'm sure Sayre-san will find you someone else and give you the energy you want in no time, but I- I m-must go. You see, I'm not even sure if it would work with other spirits, and you don't even have Yuka-neechan's body, Marcy-san! N-no, no, of course I'm not implying that you're not attractive enough, I'm sure that anyone else w-would feel honored but I'm really pressed for time right now. Would you please take those tentacles away? S-Stop, I don't care if Sayre-san implied I'm as good as an energizer bunny, I really don't go on and on and on!

-N-No, th-that wasn't an invitation to make sure either!
