A few quick questions, if no one minds my asking - which you really shouldn't given that this does, in theory, affect everyone - did anyone happen to encounter something earlier in the week, and if so, has anyone actually figured out a way of handling it? And by "handling it," I mean "destroying it in the quickest and most efficient manner possible

yes. nasty blighter appeared out of nowhere, took a swipe at me, and turned me mute. fortunately the effect's worn off, but i can't seem to find it again to give it its dues.

Surprise attacks seem to be its M.O. What did you do when you tried to find it?

- hey. There's been a number of different effects, ranging from more common camp afflictions to some that happen much less frequently. They do wear off, though, although the time range varies. Mine wore off after about five days or so.
