Good evening, Camp. I am Nobori Taiga, the manager of Human Resources here. While I expect the position was meant to... embarrass me I have found a way to fulfill it. Why should we resign ourselves to the less than acceptable living conditions here? There are certainly materials enough to improve the cabins if only we reach out and make use of them ( Read more... )

Taiga? What are you doing? With these projects, I mean?

*bright smile* Mio!

*thoughtful* The first project will be a good opportunity to get to know the humans and other campers better. Helping to improve the Camp certainly can't do any harm either. And we do need to start working on an alternative to life energy, even here. Ash-san can't support us long-term. And even if he could it's not quite fair to him.

It would be good to not have to live off of Ash-san.... *looks wistful* Though I've noticed I don't have to feed as much as I used to....

*pulls up a chair* And how are you and Kamishiro-san doing?

*Is happy because of recent developments in her own love life*

You're lucky then. I haven't noticed a change.

We're happy. How are you and Wataru?

Working with energy doesn't exactly sound like my field.

It might not be but sometimes insight from outside the field can be helpful.

Outside input is generally of very limited usefulness. Sometimes a new perspective helps, but usually they misunderstand important details.

You do have a point. But might I ask what skills you have?

I'm feeling pretty good about languishing right now.

It is everyone's personal choice, of course. I can't force anyone to help.

How nice of you to admit.

Of course, since you are happy with conditions as they are you won't mind your residence being put last on the list.

That is the position I was... assigned. I am making use of the vague job-description for the benefit of Camp.

Care a lot about it, do you?

Not a great deal, no. It's more a matter of professional pride. That, and I certainly wouldn't mind benefiting from the improvement of Camp.

Admirable motivations, if I do say so myself.

Thank you. I'm sure everyone will benefit in the end.

And if camp stops you?

Then we are stopped. There is nothing to be gained from inaction. The amount of risk determines the reward.
