[Outside the Arts and Crafts hut, two young men sit on the ground ...crafting. Well, one of them is crafting, the other is just giving helpful suggestions.]

This is great but...I think we'll probably run out of materials before we make any money, this way...

... what are you doing?

He is an interesting person. Rather active, too - I have seen him around quite a bit in my time here.

... yes, well, it simply means that this place can be more dangerous than what you are used to in some respects. But anything is possible, which can be rather amazing and irritating at the same time.

I wonder sometimes. It certainly seems like it, in any case. Why do you ask?

Oh, uh...no reason. Just...you know. Wow, anything, right? That's...a lot of possibilities.

Mm. People can turn into about anything here, those who were dead in their own worlds have shown up here just fine, animals speak, sex is banned and rather unfortunate things happen to those who try, there are many here who are not human ...

Things such as that.

. . .that...really is anything, it sounds like.

I know a boy who could speak to animals, but I don't think I've ever heard of them just speaking on their own. Well, not so that people understand them, anyway. I guess if this place is going to bring people from all over, it makes sense it'd bring the animals too.

There is quite the variation between worlds. Well, you will see that for yourself as you meet more people, I suppose.

Yeah.

Oh, um...I'm Capell, by the way. I'm...not really used to meeting people, like this. One more strange thing to get used to, I guess. Heh.

... mm, well. You will learn in time, then. My name is Robert Haydn - it is ... good to meet you.

I guess I'd better, if there really are that many people here.

Hi, Robert. Nice to meet you to. Um, thanks for telling me about this place. It seems like the more I learn from other people, the less I'll be...unpleasantly surprised, later.

You will have many people to practice that on, at the very least.

- mm, it is fine. It does take people some time to adjust to the more unpleasant aspects of this location.

I bet it does -- it'll probably take me a while before I not being surprised at that thing in the lake, no matter how many times I see it. Marcy, right?

Hey, do you know -- who named it, anyway? Peony didn't. It doesn't seem like it'd make a very good pet.

Ms. Marcy, yes. I doubt anyone truly gets used to her, save for those who already deal with such things on a daily basis.

... I do not, actually. She has been called that for as long as I have been here.

It seems like a lot of trouble to go to, for something that's just a monster.

[Eyes you] Er...speaking of monsters...you're not hurt, are you? Did something attack you?
