Reasons... are like the defining thing in the universe. Is it a Free universe? One where no human can impact another? One where force is the only thing that matters? One where nobody has emotions that rule their decisions?

That's how it is back home. Reasons are very real. It's possible that your world has a Reason too, and you just can't see it because you've always been a part of it. You've talked about greed -- what if the Reason is something like "Money dictates all else"?
