No writing as I had uni then caught up with a friend :)

I tend to not listen to music when I'm writing but I don't necessarily like it to be completely silent. I prefer a little background noise.

It's so interesting to see how different people work, background noise drives me to distraction!

Daily words: 3016 words.
Total words: 47,023 words.

Definitely no music for me. If there are words I just end up singing along, and if it's instrumental I just find it frustrating. I prefer to write in silence if possible; sometimes I can't even tolerate vague background noise like a radio or TV in another room, although it depends on how well my writing is going and how distractible I am on a given day, lol. Unfortunately things can get very noisy where I live, which is why I mostly end up writing in the middle of the night.

I'm the same, I prefer no distracting noise to put me off!

I really need to invest in some noise-cancelling earplugs or something, lol.

Progress on day 29: 659

Oh that is different every day. Sometimes I need complete silence, other's I can't write without music or the TV running in the background. Back in uni i even sat in some lectures, writing fanfic instead of while listening to the prof.
As for music: usually it's soundtracks or classical music - music with lyrics/songs i like a lot always make me want to sing along and are too distracting XD

I think it generally helps me to listen to something while writing, can't explain why though xD

I think it generally helps me to listen to something while writing, can't explain why though Do you think it's like running to music? Music can get a runner into a certain pace through the beat. Maybe music helps even out your thoughts so you can type/write along at a pace. Though... the beats I'm thinking of tend to be more obvious in modern music than classical. Maybe classical fits well with ordered brain waves, or something.

Wrote 549 words on my remix! Yay!! And also wrote quite a lot on a job application so overall I've been extremely productive today :p

I prefer writing with background music, but it mustn't be too loud and it must not be through headphones, or else the feeling of my headphones on my ears kinda throws me off. And I absolutely cannot function with two different noises at the same time, like me listening to music while my mother is watching a video on her phone.

Well done on all the words and the application \o/

I normally don't like earphones, but when I'm writing they help me keep my little bubble.
*is weird*

Nice words!

I love that you're so specific about what works and what doesn't. You've got it down to a measurement or an equation.

I wrote 954 words today - sadly not for ACBB…

I like silence when I write, anything else pulls me out of my head where I'm kinda living in the world I built for my fic. I am very easily distracted by people and noise. Sometime I just put headphones in to muffle it all out. That is actually how I ended up not writing ACBB today, I got too distracted so I had to write something else that took less concentration.
