When Its Over, Its Over

Okay guys I am really looking forward to Arthur and Gwen being reunited and happily in love all over again. That said I'm kinda' of glad that Guinevere is out on her own and I wish this show had time to develop a storyline where Guinevere is away from Camelot from anywhere from 3 months to 1 year doing things on her own, learning to live by her ( Read more... )

Oh I just saw this reply. I'm so not used to LJ I had no idea you're comment was screened. I like your ideas.I've started writing, but have hit a road block at one point and could definitely us some prompts or suggestion.

I hope for that too! I hope they show us a little bit of what Gwen's been up to, how she has grown and processed what happened to her. This could be an opportunity that could really shape her to make her an even more awesome and wise queen. I also see it as a perfect opportunity to develop her more as the foil to Morganna ( ... )

So I had no idea that everyone's comments were screened sorry bit of a dingbat with LJ.

I hope that some time passes and we see Gwen who has grown and matured--moved through her hurt and anger to become even wiser and more awesome. The kind of person that can hold her loved ones accountable when they do wrong by her but who can also forgive and move on.

Yeah this probably bugs me more than anything about Gwen's character. She can express disappointment in people and did in Season 2, but she's become the most saintly person on Merlin and saints still sin.

I think this kind of experience would make her a better Queen, a more well rounded person

OMG! THIS! This occurred to me for a brief moment before being eclipsed by my feelings over A/G. Thank you so much for reminding me! I'm not sure about becoming a pirate, but I'm looking forward to a much stronger, tougher, more independent Guinevere. I know from personal experience that travel to foreign lands can be scary and exciting and makes you grow in ways you might not even realize. I didn't even know much I wanted this for Gwen until she got banished.

It could be happy fun loving pirates. To me her banishment is opportunity that this show will probably miss and its up to the fanfic community to exploit them. :)

If I could make a suggestion. I would love a fic involving Gwen kicking ass and taking names sort of speak. With Arthur, Elyan, Merlin and the knights pining for Gwen. Only after they realized she was enchanted of course.
I'm tired of the usual Gwen being understanding. I want the apology to be heartfelt , and I want them to work to rebuild her trust as well

I really have mixed up feelings about the episode. Not an episode has ever broken me like that before. I can't even watch earlier happy Arwen-scenes without tears in my eyes. And most of all I did not want her to go. But that's only because we're again going to have at least one episode without her. I love that woman and this couple way too much. Her leaving hurts now, but I bet that everything's going to be even better after her comeback than what it was before. And exactly for the reasons you listed. She is going grow as a character. She is going to make a better Queen when she's seen the world, met new different people and learnt new things. The other people get to know and love her the way she is. I'm sure that most of those people are going to think "she would make a great queen". That's the bright side of the break up ( ... )
