“This is another fine mess you’ve gotten us into, Merlin,” Arthur shouted, clamouring up the tree, sitting down on a hopefully sturdy branch.
“How is this my fault, you arse?” Merlin raged next to Arthur, clinging hard to the trunk. He’d never been fond of heights, and this was… high.
“I said we’re on a wild goose chase, not chasing wild geese, you idiot.” Arthur pointed down to the gaggle of irate birds milling below, their beady eyes glaring up.
“I wasn’t the one mentioning pâté, clotpole.” Then Merlin looked down. “Err, Arthur? You do know geese can fly, right?”
