It was getting ridiculous. Villains popping up left and right. Always in black. The early years at Camelot, they wore red, purple, even hideous green, but it was as if the gods of magic were running out of colours. Black this, black that. Smirking Morgana, reborne Lancelot, smarmy Agravaine, even evil Gwen, all in black.
But when Arthur showed up in black velvet, Merlin was only human after all. It set off Arthur’s eyes and golden hair. He looked absolutely scrumptious. And eager for Merlin’s touch.
If Arthur were evil, Merlin would get around to magicking him back. Eventually.
Maybe.
