One of my writer friends came out today. I was totally stoked for her but honestly I cannot wait for the day that saying "I'm Gay", "I'm Lesbian", "I'm Queer" or anything else on the spectrum is met with the same reaction as me saying my family is Italian or that I had toast for breakfast

I would wait for it to be so normal that no "coming out" is needed. We didn't have to come out. People blow this issue way out of proportion! Nobody cares if you're gay, straight or whatever. Whatever floats your boat. As a whole, I wish people would stop obsessing over these things and focus on more pressing issues, like student loan debt.
