Hi Calvin! pvampire July 31 2007, 03:12:43 UTC
Hey Calvin, I really hope you get this because I'm having log in problems right now. First, it's very nice to meet you. I've been a friend of John's for some time now. I really adore that kid. He is so positive it's just a joy to listen to his blogs. I also worry sick about him. He is in quite a quandry. He know's intellectually he is gay, but psychologically can't handle it. His parents are no doubt homophobic and I don't know if he can deal with thier possible rejection. I really hope he ends up getting some counseling, but that will be hard because as he says he can barely stomach talking about it. I was so glad to see your message to him. The more he know's he's not alone, the better off he will be. I really worry, because someday, probably sooner than later, his friends Larry and Aubrey will probably go thier own way as life has a way of doing. My advice to his was to wait until he was on his own, then find a person he thinks he could love and is attracted to and start a relationship. Of course, he balked at that idea, but life ( ... )

Without knowing how closely entwined your life is with that of those family members, all I can think is that they are being respectful in not disclosing their thoughts. All in all, aren't there other more important things to question you about like what you are doing? They know who you are already ( ... )

While I haven’t ruled out the “lewd and lascivious” behavior (grin), I agree with your statement that most people are too self-absorbed to care. True that my friends and family are not forcing me to be someone I’m not, because I am who I am, but it is more of a need to feel normal that keeps me from revealing the “real me” to friends, family, and the world. For now my definition of normal is too narrow and I am attempting to broaden it.

You intrigue me justin_fl…you intrigue me.

Interesting similarities... 106karen August 7 2007, 04:54:20 UTC
I was also born in 1982... I lived in Pasadena, California from 1986-1993 and then I moved to Houston, Texas! I also graduated in the class of 2000!

:) Just thought those would be some cool similarities to share with you!!!

When I left California, I was living in Whittier, but my dad lived in Pasadena and I would stay with him sometimes in the summer. I was born in the city of Los Angeles, but we lived in Commerce, then we moved Bell Gardens, Montebello, then Whitter before finding my way to the Lone Star State. Sigh...I miss the weather and the beach...
