She turned around on the couch, and gave him a quick smile. "You up for some Rock Band? I haven't really played in a while."
Which, of course, was half the reason for Karen's current apathy toward everything video game related. It was hard to play when she'd gone through just about every single one with Chuck playing along and commenting, or vice versa.

True, the Island Well Hungarians had been an institution, and even though Roger had argued (and would still) that the game was the antithesis of music education, those jam sessions had meant a lot to him. Guitaring it up back-to-back with Serena, joining in on vocals with Karen, leaning in on Chuck's drum like they were actually playing music. These were vacations for Roger, and they must have been for Karen, too.
"Yeah," Roger said, decisively coming around to the front of the couch. "Let's kick some Rush ass." He sat down and bumped her shoulder, offering a smile for both their sakes.

It wouldn't be half the same without Serena or Chuck there with them, but at least it was something to pass the time - and with Roger, it was, a the very least, fun.
