[For Nick] Bodyswitch shenanigans.

So, Karen hadn't exactly enjoyed her own little trip in Han Solo's body, but it had been pretty cool once she got over the initial shock. At least from her side of it, anyway. She'd even found Nick's story about waking up with not-her a little more amusing.

It was less than amusing being on this side now, though. Waking up to someone who wasn't ( Read more... )

There was an elephant. Following him.

Okay, it was a baby elephant, but the point remained. Elephant. At least the rest of this lady's menagerie managed to stay put. If he had to spend time surrounded by butterflies, he'd be tempted to start freaking the hell out.

No matter what he did, the baby elephant wouldn't leave him alone, so he had no choice but to make his way to Karen' hut to try to find her, and hopfully to also track down his body.

Nick found himself moving with a bit of grace as he came upon Karen, a bit of a natural swing to his hips that he hadn't quite anticipated. He felt... mysterious, like he should be shrouded in secrets and stories and tall tales and just being whatever someone wanted. Just to play the Game.

Karen wasn't sure if the woman smiling at her or the baby elephant disturbed her more. On one hand, a woman staring wasn't anything new. People stared at people all the time.

On the other hand, baby freaking elephant.

Her eyes went from the woman to the elephant, then back again. "Can I help you?"

He wanted to say something, to say hey, Karen, there's an elephant following me and oh my god where's my body.

But this body, whoever she was, wanted to be mysterious.

"Perhaps," he said, a bit more smoothly than he thought he could manage. He could swear that one eyebrow arched all of its own accord.

Okay, so either the woman was crazy and liked pet elephants, or she was being coy on purpose. Karen wasn't much in the mood for either choice.

"That's not really an answer," she pointed out, and tried not to look at the elephant. What use was it if it wasn't even big enough to ride yet?
