I know. It looks like Proposition 8 will pass in California, too, which makes me deeply sad. Not cool, California. Not cool.

I know, it totally bummed my night. I called my Mom in "OMFGTHISISAWESOMESUPGFINALLYGETTINGITRIGHT" glee, and while she was happy, she was pretty disappointed about that...and it kind of dragged me down. I'm still happy overall, but...not as happy as I could be.

Next Challenge for America: Elect a homosexual president.

It seems it's too much a challenge for America even to give them equal rights, much less elect a president.

I'm ecstatic about Obama and the general message it sends: Change, finally! But at the same time, very, very disappointed at the same sex-marriage ban in Arizona and California, too. I hadn't expected it to happen in California, at least.

I wasn't at all surprised by Arizona, but I was surprised by California. I know there are convervative elements in California, especially when you get out of the cities but I still can't imagine something like that would pass there.

Not on, Arizona. Or California. Ack!

Still: Obama = win. Quite literally. *dances*

Still, I know, it really IS brilliant, and I am excited...now we just need to wait until January to finally be rid of Bush for good.
