Turns out I have Views about people feeding my children religion. Huh. Now there's a surprise! There's a group during lunch time called Splashzone, which I thought was supposed to be to help support kids with problems, and hve a counselling bent. He *may* have gone because a friend was going or because they made it sound like fun.

I went to a group a couple of times when I was in Year 1 or 2 because they gave out nice stickers and I enjoyed listening to the stories.

Problem is that they're definitely NOT supposed to allow people who don't have parental permission in. But they are.

Time for some greek myths or similar? If they've encountered some religion you might as well throw in some comparative stuff so it's obvious that different people have believed different, if still implausible things over the years.

Understand why you're peeved, I would be too. If there's nothing underhanded with what they're doing then what is the problem in obtaining the appropriate parental permission ( ... )

I've been very wary of some of the chaplinish-related programs, because most of them are Christain church related. I've seen them being used as fronts for recruiting for their local church too. It really annoyed me when they'd be doing self-esteem things or presenting a talk with teenage mothers and it would always lead to 'and then I found God and everything was wonderful'. *eyetwitches*
