Both Matt and I went to Anglican/CofE schools and Charlotte's school is also Anglican. We're considering it an acceptable trade off for an excellent school. They don't seem particularly rabid and they do have non-christian students. We both survived our schooling with a belief set that is very non-christian (we once described ourselves to a Thai tour guide as a bit like Phuket, about 60% Buddhist!)and we think Charlotte will too. We think the trick is to raise a child who is strong willed enough and has a curiosity strong enough to question, not be brainwashed by any religion and make their own choices based on fact rather than blind faith. Seeing as you seem to be raising equally strong willed, curious children I wouldn't be too concerned :-)
My answer to the question will be when it gets asked "No, because..." and then when I've finished talking I expect there to be either a very long or very short conversation.
When he gets a bit older you could quote Michael's T-shirt... "Science, it works bitches!"
