You know your life is getting a little bit lame when you're excited by the prospect of week with temperature highs *above 40*. (And when you check the weather at 6:30am, and it says 21, and your reaction is, "Sweet! So much warmer than yesterday!"

Sigh.

Wow, I was actually reasonably productive today. I read the second half of Machiavelli. I wrote a draft of my journalism piece. I went for a bike ride (it started snowing right after I got back. Simultaneous thunder + lightening + snow + winds gusting to over 30 mph *on a day where it was 50+ degrees at 9am* = ONLY IN NEW JERSEY.

Dreary dreary wetness. At least its warm enough to wear a t-shirt when your windows are wide open.

I have two papers to edit and turn in (passable drafts of both written) by midday Monday. Then I'm done with the semester. :-) I'm really quite ready to move on to next term's classes I think. And my thesis.

T-minus 3 days until I leave for Paris

I did not know it was possible for so many things to go wrong with a bicycle in 24 hours. I think it's a sign from above that I need to quit screwing around in NJ in January, and sit myself down and write my papers and thesis.

It's just one of those days where you're not 100% convinced getting out of bed was really the right decision...

For all of you who frequent such places, and know such things:

Where would you get a Go board/set? Would Japantown in either SF or SJ be likely to have one? (If yes, do you happen to know a more specific where?) Kinokuniya?

It's funny, I've never really realized how much I equivocate in my writing. Am I really that hesistant to make a concrete statement, to put myself out there with a firm opinion (that risks, I suppose, contradiction and criticism)?
