Bes thing is to bring the cats over when almost everything's almost moved in. That way they'll not be freaked by "New thumpy boxes taking up their space"

And it's better that you're there if they start to freak out and pee everywhere. :)

the order I have found most helpful:

1) bring stuff that might scrape walls up. place in rooms where it go. cover with tarps.

2) paint

3) rats and cats.

the opposite order is a recipe for disaster. also, better to give paint fumes a chance to dissipate a little with open windows.

indeed, and agreed. move in as little as humanly possible. paint. let paint dry for a day. move in the rest of your stuffs. bring fluffies.
