I love how Arizona's walls slowly come down. She starts off a bit guarded, a bit unsure of Callie's intentions in seeking her out and her seeming to care. Then she allows herself to accept that Callie is genuinely offering support and care, no pressure.
Callie knowing Arizona better then anyone. Listening and just being supportive.
It's really good stuff. Lots of progress. Therapy is definitely working. It's a long road yet but this is good.
I'm going to get yelled at for this but, as good as those scenes were I kinda wish it was someone else like Alex comforting Arizona.
These were good scenes, but after not interacting for 5 episodes, I just don't get it. Callie goes from being mad to comforting Arizona in a heart beat.
I also don't want Arizona to start relying on Callie too much then get her heart broken again when she sees Callie on a date or kissing etc. Someone else.
You can comfort someone platonically. I feel arizona is emotionally smart enough to understand that that moment doesn't necessarily mean they are getting back together. She's a big girl.
Exactly. That scene didnt require anything romantic. It olayed out the way it was supposed to. Callie being there for Arizona. They are still conected. I really enjoyed the scenes. And the fact that we got 2! Amazing.
You can be "mad" at someone and still love or care for them. Those feelings aren't mutually exclusive. Just because they're not together doesn't mean that Callie doesn't care whether or not Arizona's friend dies...
I'm glad we finally got Calzona scenes. Interesting though that Callie had to leave the relationship in order to show compassion to Arizona. This is the most unselfish Callie we have seen and it's a shame we had to wait this long for her to show that compassion. Sad to say, but it's more an argument for them being friends than anything else.
Don't you think part of their journey is for Callie to just listen to and support Arizona - to me in the past (good example is the surrogacy fiasco) she just railroads Arizona and doesn't really listen to her, I am not saying the love wasn't there, she just needs to shut up and listen and empathise which she hasn't really done. Arizona's journey is well on its way.

My statement was in the context of the impact of the therapy from 11x05.
