ETA: Yeah, this was supposed to be on 07.07.07, but that didn't quite happen.

You know, what I wanted to post here today was a picture, a picture of Kurosagi and Tsurara on their wedding day. Because yes, he's messed up, obsessed with revenge to the exclusion of almost everything else, and she desperately wants to save him from himself, and damn ( Read more... )

Just . . . gah!!!

It's like you went into my mind and pulled out my fluffiest Kurosagi fantasy and spit it out onto your LJ.

This is just so perfect. And although we'll probably never get to actually see this scenario played out (As long as there's kissing in the movie, I will be set for life, I swear) it was still so perfectly in character.

I can't even begin to describe how much I love this.

and after a quiet afternoon where Tsurara carefully kneels and places a bouquet of flowers in front of a shrine and solemnly promises to look after him

I loved that part. I'm assuming it was a shrine to Kurosaki's parents/family something like that? Well, that's what I imagined, I'm not sure if it's right, lol. But regardless, that was my favorite part.

The things I remember about Kurosagi, was when it wasn't so incredibly bleak, were the moments and details of everyday life, and how Kurosaki could barely function on a mundane level - how he's still very much a little boy in some regard. And that while he wants someone to look after him, so he can just stop for once, and be, he rejects it because of the emotional implications - and so, if the movie can clear up the Mikimoto business and Tsurara and Kurosagi have some kind of CONTACT that isn't just him grabbing her hand and restraining her, but a real hug, a KISS DAMMIT....

I could totally see them getting married a few years down the line.

I KNOW! Like how he's always skipping down the stairs and singing those songs ('Cho-co-late, I want to eat!' Lol.) and he's always eating that microwavable stuff from the conveniance store. And the look on his face when she makes him dinner? He looks so vulnerable and young and so touched because he can't believe she would actually go through all that trouble for him and you can SEE how much he wants to take it, but he knows he can't because then she'll have gotten too close to him and he won't be able to gain revenge.

I think that's the main reason why some people don't think Kurosaki's interested in Tsurara- because he never shows any outward signs that people are used to seeing from other drama heros. And while it's true that he doesn't kiss or hug her or any of those other things we're so used to our drama heros doing, it's becuase he's not a freaking normal drama hero! I mean, just the fact that he's letting her get close to ( ... )

oh, yeah. I hate Katsuragi, because of who he is Kurosaki's life, but he's so perceptive when K's being willfully blind (to protect Tsurara, to protect himself?)and yeah, the hug not a hug thing burns like cinders when I see it every time, because as so many people have pointed out it's always everything they don't say to each other, the silences that speak. K won't ever say "i love you" in words and Tsurara's learning to decipher his moods.

Man, this movie is either going to be the greatest thing in the world or it's going to be disappointing. And I'm still trying to figure out where it fits in the canon/timeline - will it be a rehash for people who have already seen the series, or a completely new, movie sized send off?
