ETA: Yeah, this was supposed to be on 07.07.07, but that didn't quite happen.
You know, what I wanted to post here today was a picture, a picture of Kurosagi and Tsurara on their wedding day. Because yes, he's messed up, obsessed with revenge to the exclusion of almost everything else, and she desperately wants to save him from himself, and damn

I KNOW! Like how he's always skipping down the stairs and singing those songs ('Cho-co-late, I want to eat!' Lol.) and he's always eating that microwavable stuff from the conveniance store. And the look on his face when she makes him dinner? He looks so vulnerable and young and so touched because he can't believe she would actually go through all that trouble for him and you can SEE how much he wants to take it, but he knows he can't because then she'll have gotten too close to him and he won't be able to gain revenge.
I think that's the main reason why some people don't think Kurosaki's interested in Tsurara- because he never shows any outward signs that people are used to seeing from other drama heros. And while it's true that he doesn't kiss or hug her or any of those other things we're so used to our drama heros doing, it's becuase he's not a freaking normal drama hero! I mean, just the fact that he's letting her get close to him At. All. means so much. When he lets her stay in the apartment, when he helps out her dad, when he lets her take care of him after he gets beat up, the whole scene at the end of episode 8 (Guhh!!! Episode 8) when he explains to her why he has to get revenge on Mikimoto and explains the whole Cinderella thing to her, and when he plays with the fireworks with her (and he laughs!!!). Just the fact that he's letting her get close to him speaks volumes, I think.
that isn't just him grabbing her hand and restraining her, but a real hug, a KISS DAMMIT....
I remember seeing the previews for episode 7 and COMPLETELY freaking out. And then I actually watched the scene and I was like, 'What?! WHAT WAS THAT?!?!' but I eventually made my peace. (At least you can tell that he so wants to hug her, he is SO deliberately taking longer to put that money down than he has to). And then when he looks her in the eye but then LOOKS AWAY before he says 'Here's the information fee' even though it's really for HER benefit, becuase he KNOWS what it's going to do to her, and despite the fact that he has to distance himself from her he CAN'T DO IT becuase she effects him so much and there's absolutely nothing he can do about it. (I love the scene at the beginning of episode 8 the morning after that, when he's in the restuarant and Katsuragi grabs him and is like, 'Your eyes look red-rimmed, you didn't sleep last night?' and he immediately changes the subject becuase he knows why he couldn't sleep but he can't admit it even to himself.)

Man, this movie is either going to be the greatest thing in the world or it's going to be disappointing. And I'm still trying to figure out where it fits in the canon/timeline - will it be a rehash for people who have already seen the series, or a completely new, movie sized send off?

I'm hoping it's going to be a sequel to the drama, wherein Kurosagi finally defeats Mikimoto, there is awesome KuroTsu UST, lots of kissing, and at least one rain scene. (I have images of Kurosaki and Tsurara arguing over something or other, and then Tsurara just getting so fed up with him and pushing him up against a wall and kissing him senseless.)
