Sorry about the suckiness happening at the moment.
Your snark of this drama is hilarious. I laughed the whole way through this post. I am now curious about how much this series was influenced by Twilight...
all the cute boys are from yokohamacalledinvainJuly 15 2009, 05:24:24 UTC
I have spontaneously decided this - admittedly only because Yujin and Osamu are from there. And okay, I'm biased because largest Chinatown in Japan, and, hello, MY PEOPLE.
but yokohama is a very popular place to film for dramas, I gather - the ferris wheel and it's been the site of many a romance drama, i guess?
I'll have to check it out once I get to Japan - when and if. :D
but it's a sign of how terrible (okay I may be serving up the hyperbole pie here - but generally --- uncomfortable) my life is going that coming home to watch shamelessly bad tv show automatically puts me in better spirits.
Then why haven't I found any?!?wistfulmemoryJuly 15 2009, 05:42:49 UTC
I didn't realize Osamu was from Yokohama. *am a bad fangirl* I went to Yokohama's Chinatown two Christmases ago, though it was a very cold and windy day, so I didn't spend too much time there. I should try to hit it up again before I leave

they must be there! they certainly produce cute artists/musicians and so on and so forth. :D
Yeah, he is. Kanagawa prefecture, Yokohama's the capital city, right?
The distances in Jdramas always amuse me - the running to places and everything - atadan took place in some area of Tokyo, but the trick heart castle was located in Gunma. Quite a long way to walk/run from the central city.
I'm hoping to be in Japan within the next two years to teach English. Or Taiwan. Either one. I'd be happy.
Yokohama is supposed to be *REALLY ROMANTIC*, if I recall correctly. Couples tend to want to go there together and all that, so there're quite a few dramas that get filmed there. I think JE's Kame's DRAMA OF ABSOLUTE LOVE with Ayase Haruka and Hiraoka Yuta was supposed to be there.
Anyway--I think the printed cross is my favorite character so far.
I can see that...wistfulmemoryJuly 15 2009, 12:50:24 UTC
I see couples everywhere when I visit Downtown Yokohama. It always makes my day when I notice scenes from dramas set in that area, especially if I've visited that specific place.
