Just an update of the books in the house that I plan on reading soon! Feel free to give thoughts, but no spoilers.

Good Omens - Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. This was a present from last Christmas. I'm that far behind on my reading. I'm also not really keen on starting this as Terry never appealed to me and I read American Gods by Neil which I ( Read more... )

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on Go Set A Watchman. It's been so divisive.

I enjoyed the first fifteen lives of Harry August. I read it for an LJ book reading group a couple of years ago. I remember that lots of people struggled with confusion over the interweaving of lives around the middle bit but I really enjoyed it.

Is 'the twelve' from the same series as the book I have called 'I am number four'?

I don't think so, I have the author's name up there, Justin Cronin? You can check the author.

I love the sound of complicated interweaving of lives!

Wild Swans is good but takes ages to get through. I was disappointed by Her fearful symmetry. Maus is stunning, Good omens is funny

Yeah, I just bought Symmetry on a whim because of Time-Traveller but I have a sneaking suspicion it won't be half as good, which is mainly why it's been there so long. And I feel I have to be in the right headspace for Wild Swans. I do suspect I'll get to Maus pretty soon though, like within the next two months.
