Ha, go figure! Well, just don't look at the cover when you read it. :) But what do you think of the cover of the second book, the one with the red bird?
I'll look forward to your thoughts on this one! :)
I suspect it reminds me too much of Drizzt. Heeeeere's Drizzt! A lot of people in our age group LOVE THE HELL out of him. I'm not much for game-tie-in novels, even if the game is a pen and paper RPG, but I think Drizzt would have annoyed me regardless. "OH WOES IS MEEEEEE I IS THE ONLY GOOD MEMBER OF A SPECIES OF EVIL ELF VAMPIRE THINGS, I WUV A HUMAN I WILL OUTLIVE BY CENTURIES AND THE WHOLE WORLD WILL HATE OUR BABIES. ANGST ANGST ANGST
( ... )
You think the woman on the second cover looks like Angelina Jolie? Just based on the chin? Or are you referring to the cover of the third book? :)
I can see your point in terms of comparison, but I don't think you'll have trouble here. People aren't that pitiful in this book, you just feel really bad for them.
Which heroine are you referring to? The one I didn't like or Piro, the only female with a POV?

Does my reaction sound violent? I suppose it does, in Elina's case. :)
If you're gonna read the second book, I'll be reading that review closely, because you'll be able to tell me if the issues I have here carry over.
I think it's the same artist too. Both authors have the same publisher.
