It is stunning. When I saw it in the store, I had to have the book. :)
I hope to post the BONESHAKER review some time today, but that depends on my workout schedule and how much it exhausts me before my Wednesday night television comes on. :)

Yay!!! I'm so glad you liked this!
I understand the hesitancy when you read a book that you feel works great on its own, only to learn there's going to be a sequel. I didn't feel that way about this one, but rather Barbara Ashford's Spellcast.

There's very little I can add to this comment. I feel exactly the same way about the pacing/ordering - and it worked especially brilliantly as the book neared the end. You know where you end up, but as the end of the book nears and things are - increasingly not right, but not all horribly wrong yet, the rising tension is incredible. You know how fast things are going to go wrong before they do, and it all feels so relentless and inevitable. I swear, by the time I was into the last seventy pages or so, I spent every waking nonworking minute reading

It may have been bad timing on my part, but the prose in A Book of Tongues just didn't click with me at all, so I ended up not finishing. Haven't heard of The Dark Wife though... I might take a gander at that one. :)
I really liked Indigo Springs! I loved the magic system and the characters. I do wish there had been a bit more discussion of the Fyremen, how exactly they cursed magic, and how Patterflam was burning magic.
I think a sequel could be interesting, particularly if it goes into more detail about the Fyremen. It looks like "Blue Magic" is already pretty late though, since it now says it's coming out in 2012. I hope it comes out relatively soon!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for having this book for the August Dare! I LOVED this book and rate it as one of my favorites for the year. It's just so... unique. Post-apocalyptic fantasy! The magic is unusual, but works. The characters are eccentric and bold and feel absolutely real.

Also, I just bought Boneshaker the other day, so hooray for that, too.
