My thoughts on 'The Song Remains the Same.' Slightly incoherent, which kind of works with this episode.

Yeah, I'm really in the minority here, LOL! I was glad to see Michael, he just didn't live up to expectations, which I think was maybe the actor. I think I was expecting Michael to be different from the other angels somehow. More impressive. *sigh* It's possible I was expecting too much.

Interesting. I was actually thrilled by this episode. I think it rates way up there. Certainly very high for this season. And while yeah, you had to figure people's memories would be wiped and Sam and Dean wouldn't cease to exist, I like that they keep playing out that futile adventure until it gets knocked into Sam and Dean's head. I also loved that Michael said the exact same thing as Lucifer. And that they mentioned Cain and Abel. The point of the ep was to continue to show to S&D that they can't change anything. And to show further the plot for the audience. I was actually surprised by Michael's appearance so it worked for me.

I was sad about Cas being left in the motel the whole time, though. It's stupid that they hired Misha as a regular and yet he's in less than 5 minutes of the episodes he's even in. With, I guess, the exception of 5x3 and 5x4.

A lot of people really enjoyed it, haha. :D I think part of it is that I enjoyed 'In the Beginning' so much, that this just didn't live up. We knew where it was going to end up there too but it didn't matter because it was about HOW they got there. I didn't feel like the plot was furthered at all, except for Michael finally appearance. Nothing new was really found out, with the exception of the Cain and Abel stuff. Michael just said stuff that we'd heard before, from Zachariah, from Gabriel, from Lucifer, even to a certain extent from Cas.

I kind of feel like Misha got more screen time last season, which is very disappointing. He literally book-ended this episode and not in a good way.
