Is Ricky Gervais a discomfort thing? 'Cause much as I cling to my Office DVDs, I would very much understand this and often watch with hands over my face.

Mostly I judge him cause of his hate-on for geekiness and so don't want to see his face on my telly.

My parents may have permanently scarred my seven-year-old brain by showing me this when it aired on PBS -- I still have a hard time watching some of the scenes with Caligula -- but man, this was a great show.

Being Human. Everyone likes it mostly and it sounds all spiffy and tots something I'd enjoy but I'm put off by Midshipman Frame, yo.

Looking up "Midshipman Frame" to work out what it was you were talking about, I presume you are referring to the character played by Russell Tovey in Voyage Of The Damned. I think it's worth noting that prior to that he was perhaps one of the most interesting actors in the movie of "The History Boys" (a movie which I felt was, on the whole, a bit of a let down).

We are now onto the second series of Being Human and it is getting REALLY exciting. You'd do well to catch up. :)

I agree on Mad Men btw. I think I'll be putting that under "Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?". It's just sooo boring. I keep thinking it's going to get interesting and then it doesn't. I haven't technically quit yet because I intend to finish the first series (just in case something towards the end makes all this boredom worth it). However, for all intents and purposes it's been so boring that I've quit watching it ( ... )

I never quite gave up on thinking "it's got to get better soon, it's just got to." For three years. Yeah.

That was me and Lexx so I feel your pain.
