I'm not a forgiving man. Mercy, for all of its moral value, gets you killed. It's a luxury, or at times a practical tool. Opportunities to exercise it can be rare. When each day threatens the death of those close to you, you soon learn to recognize when forgiveness is a waste of your time ( Read more... )

You've never needed to apologize to me, Niko. You know I'll forgive you just about anything.

And I think dinner would be lovely. There area any number of things we could discuss.

Gods, forgiveness. What an idiotic idea. I've gotten over this thing you do, and so let us repair our relationship feeling like we are much better, more good people for it.

It doesn't fly by me. Let us rename it. Shall we call it 'forgetfulness' or shall we call it 'laziness.' A grudge takes up too much energy that could be spent elsewhere.

I've seen you bored. It's terrified. Knowing you're amused provides reassurance.

Huh. I can't be so merciless. Because I made so many mistakes in the past, and I was forgiven by a friend.
