Very nice time up yonder. In Portland I had the pleasure of a long lunch with Gary (watchingitburn), and then dinner with Matt Adams. Train ride to Mt.Vernon where my cousin Tammy and her family picked me up and we went through Skagit Valley and saw all the tulips on our way back to Whidbey Island where they live. I'll be in Peoria (Pekin) for work this Sunday (tomorrow) thru Friday! I should have flown in to Chicago yesterday and spent the weekend, and then gone onto work, but I totaled my truck Monday night, and have been obviously dealing with that. :(

Anywho, do we know anyone(s) who live there for some social time this week in the evenings?  

I keep forgetting to mention that I'll be in Portland, OR Monday (tomorrow) and Tuesday. Do I know anyone there? LOL!

I'm looking to just drink beer and coffee for 36 hours, and totally excited to do so. :)

Need I say more? I just can't. Perfect weekend.

Sadly after 12 years with this company (and just over 20 year’s experience), I have to look for employment elsewhere as it's been made apparent that I'll not be advancing here at this plant. They have chosen to advance 4 coworkers (cutting my pay in the meantime) who have neither done, nor know as much as I do, and only one has seniority over me. ( Read more... )

Steven vamapper. He was in NO for the past few days, which sadly I had to work nights through... but on his way out of town he came by and we spent the morning out on the back porch just talking. We were supposed to go get breakfast, but we lost track of time and before we knew it, it was noon and he had to head out. Very nice to have met him! Great guy ( Read more... )
