Another day, another brrr

Boomerbutt update: no runny poops after a day of not eating, and then eating only a bit of chicken and rice (hooray, Instant Pot). He did have a small upchuck moment in his crate in the night (ew), but didn't need to go outside to poo, so I count that as a win. No idea why he upchucked, but it was just a one-time thing (although it messed up my ( Read more... )

Trying! I find myself whispering, "Thank you" every time my furnace kicks on.

You must be exhausted. I know how little sleep can be had when a pet isn't feeling well.

It's definitely been a weary week in that regard. Last night, however, he was fine all night. So I was, too!

Glad Boomer seems to be doing a bit better - both for his sake and yours! It is absolutely miserable being dragged out of bed for that, but a whole lot more so when it's so miserably cold out and it's that much more of a production to go out. :P

Oh man, I do love it when shows play with fun "fanfic trope" stuff like that. Maybe wouldn't want them to be like that all the time, but it does make for such fun moments!

Yeah, the cold weather definitely doesn't help, but fortunately last night, he slept, so I slept, too!

NCIS does such a good job at the whole "team as family" theme, adding in just enough personal interactions to keep things warm without it devolving into a soap opera. I think the humor helps, too. So many cop/hospital/firefighter dramas are just so Serious and full of interpersonal tension... it's such a pleasure to find a show that takes a brighter path (even when things aren't always bright).

I thought I'd seen all the episodes (several times) but that's one I don't remember. It sounds so typical, however.

I couldn't tell you what season or episode it was... watching them all via Netflix where the next ep loads automatically, I get lost as to where we are in the series. LOL

I'm glad Boomer is feeling better. Maybe you can actually get some sleep!

Yeah, there are some shows where the cast is almost family and NCIS is one of those shows. I haven't watched most of the recent season - they've lost some of that magic over the past couple of years. But, I still enjoy the show when I catch it.

I hope I'll keep on enjoying it after Tony leaves... he's one of my favorites, but then I also love Gibbs, McGee and Palmer, and I know they're still on. We'll miss affectionately yelling, "DiNozzo, you idiot!" though.
