The first accident

The seconds after I realize I've lost control stretch long as decades. The edge of the road drops off sharply and there's something I'm supposed to do and then I put my foot on the brake and the car goes over the edge.

This entry really held my attention. I especially loved Everything stops suddenly and the consequences of this little mishap bloom in my mind like an anemone puts out its fronds: from tight and complex to huge and confusing tendrils.
