You misunderstood me. I was saying that Sac State is more of a university than USC. Of course, UCs rule.

Having gone to The University of California, we were deprived in the rival department - all we got is a Junior University.

It almost made me wish we had a more worthy main rival - but neither the UC Southern Extension nor the University Farm Station were available for the role.

CSUCI: It's Ventura County's only other university, so we're competing with them for students and endowments in a way. But they're not quite our rival. Besides, they've yet to establish any academic or athletic teams.

UCSB: They're geographically close, but CLU has almost nothing in common with them. Cal Poly SLO is their rival.
