After the death of the Director Jenny Shepherd, Acting Director Vance split up Gibbs' team. They were never reunited. After about a year, Gibbs went back to Mexico and Abby finally took one of the offers she'd received, joining the CIA. She now works in the Counterintelligence department and reports to Deputy Director Clayton Webb.
