-Also show of hands, who wants to see Metallicar take on James Dean's haunted car and beat the crap out of it? *raises hand*
Yes please.

Ah, okay, gunshot wound, no gun or bullet. That makes more sense. *nods*
Only on our show would this sentence make *more* sense than ... well, anything. :)

-Hey, there's the spiky clock! Someone's keeping track of that thing... is it [info]eilonwy?
Yup, that's me. I saw it (and shrieked, scaring Flurije) but need to rewatch to see if it's the same one as either of the earlier ones. I don't see how it could be the exact same one as "Yellow Fever" because that one died an ignomious shattery death-by-Dean.

-BRAWLING WTH GHANDI!!! XD *HAS NO WORDS*

-It's Thursday! Sam's getting choked! BY GHANDI!!! XD
I want a flying attack Ghandi.

YAY FOR PROGRESS!!
YES. THIS.

I don't know, I only caught a split second glimpse (only one watchthrough still) but it was definitely a spiky clock.

-Okay, if an iron axe will kill her, why is she sharpening her nails on an iron knife? Maybe she likes some danger with her manicures? *handwaves*

Actually, she was using a bronze sickle, not an iron knife. I'm of the opinion that instead of she was sharpening her fingernails with the sickle she was sharpening the sickle with her fingernails. That makes more sense if she is then going to use the sickle in a ritual.

Ah, yeah, that makes a lot more sense. My TV is pretty crap and it must have missed the bronze-tone.

Although I guess having Sam and Dean put all their clothes on inside out and backwards, their shoes on the opposite feet and setting whatever's left of the entity's forest in the Balkans on fire would be harder than chopping the head off with an iron axe.

I would be perfectly happy with Sam and Dean spending some time in the Balkans. There's even a huge forest near my home that needs uh, maitenance. Just sayin'. XD

Yeah, it's unfortunate that given Dean's fear of flying and the CW's budget, globe-trotting Winchesters aren't likely. The whole world's got ghosts and monsters after all.

I have to agree that this was not the strongest episode, but we definitely needed something lighter and the brother interaction was (almost) worth the crack.

Also, WORD to what you said in the comments about anticipating some backsliding. Dean has promised, yes, but it's much easier to say you'll treat someone differently than to actually do it.

(Non-Spoilery Sidenote: sometimes I wish you would watch the "Soon" trailers because I'm dying to ask your opinion about one of the coming attractions... but I shall have to wait. Sigh. For my part, I've been a non-presence on LJ for so long that I'm completely unspoiled for everything apart from that little montage.)

Indeed. He handed Sam the keys at the end of the episode, but I doubt he actually slept in the shotgun seat.

o.O Ooookay...? Not going to be watching the Soon because not only is it spoilery for the next episode, I've heard it's got stuff from several upcoming episodes. Given the amount of theory I've gotten from knowing the title of the next two episodes and a bit more second-hand reference besides, the Soon would be like concentrated poison to me. XD

It kind of weirds me out that anyone actually wants my opinion though, so thanks. :-)

Yeah, I know. It kinda lays out at least one major plotarc for what I suspect will be at least half the season. So I completely understand your wish to avoid it at all costs ( ... )

Got to watch this last night. SPN over the Christmas season - I am a happy minister.

Who Dean really idolizes. No way... No way! They didn't... naw. If they'd gotten JDM, there'd have been some serious noise about it. Gotta admit, it'd have been one hell of a bait and switch. A good thing though, because I don't think I could take either boy chopping off John's head, even if it was a fake John.

Yasminke and I got this wrong. We knew Paris Hilton was going to be on (for one thing Channel Ten seemed to think that this would make people more likely to watch ???) so once Ghandi attacked Sam, yasminke was being gleeful that this meant that Dean was a fan of Paris and I was getting snippy and suggesting that Dean's idol would be a 70s or 80s mullet rocker. Neither of us thought of John. As I texted to her after this bit: "We are both morons".

Yay, acknowlegement of co-mutual dupitude. Um. Getting mutually duped. By evil. Yeah, that. Yes, they both had a part in getting the ball rolling, and yes, neither of them intended to do it. YAY FOR ( ... )

I heaved a deep sigh of relief and texted "Oh, thank God". Finally!!!

Progress is indeed good.

Who can't act to save her life, but in this context that's kinda okay.

Yeah, actually, considering she was supposed to be something acting like herself, she didn't do too bad.
