Title: Dean's Eye View
Characters: Dean, Sam, characters from 4.06
Warnings: SPOILERS FOR 4.06 and, sort of, 4.10. Do not read this if you have not seen 4.06, it will make even less sense. Stream-of-conciousnessy. Contains profanity. Dean started swearing and would not stop. Starts out funny-ish, then goes... not funny.

I love it even though its rather sad and hurty that all Dean's fear ultimately comes back to something happening to Sam. The Castiel scene is brilliant and so believable.

Sorry for the hurt. :-/

I've had this fic in progress since the episode aired, but I had to know what he'd been doing the four months he was downstairs and subsequently from that what had come up for his fears before it would finally come together. So in a way I've had freaked out, scared of everything Dean in my brain making my other plot-bunnies nervous since the end of October. It's good to let him out. :-)

What I really like about this is that it shows that Dean's fears make sense. To him, at least. Ridiculous as the Yorkie chase looked to us, to Dean it was real and terrifying. The detail of him worrying about Sammy sleepwalking was particularly cool, I thought.

Yes! And that's exactly what I kept thinking all through that episode. I wanted to see Dean's perspective of events, because for him it wasn't funny at all. Thank you! :-D

If anyone has been to the wastelands, I think it is Dean. I can't really add anything except to say how raw and agonizing it was, and I think you did a masterful job.
