Oh, Caer! I haven't checked my journal for months and months. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I can only imagine what an agonising decision the chemo was for you. I think we share similar concerns about modern medicine. I truly hope it helps you beat the cancer.

I know I'm a million miles away presently, but if there's anything you need that's in my power to give (recipes...stories...a care package of NZ goodies), please don't hesitate to mention it. I will aim to be a less absent entity!
You know what? i could really use some more Manuka honey. I'd even send you money for it! Thank you so much for the good wishes. Yes, I'm living a pure drug hell right now. Taking more chemicals than you can shake a stick at. It keels me, even though I'm mostly vegan/organic now and plan to be for life to avoid this hell again.
Problem is any other time I would have refused chemo. But this is a fast acting cancer, that is yet very well treated (98%) effective with the minimum number of treatments. It still sucks. I'll need to do some major cleanses once this is all over. It's an experience, but half the stress is fights with doctors and nurses. No I don't need 4 pet scans... 2 will suffice. No, I don't need this or that drug. You get the picture. I just can't wait til it's over. Sucks that one way or another, without a thyroid, I'm a pharma byatch for the rest of my life. Less the stem cell fighters pull their head out of their asses and I can grow a new one. LOL.
I picked up some Manuka honey up for you today, and don't worry at all about the money. I'm just glad there's something I can do. I don't have your address handy over here though, so can you please send it to me at raletha(at)gmail.com
