{{big hugs}} oh, hon, this is just everything i wanted and more than i could ever have imagined. and what a creative concept you chose: jim learning to swim! i never would have thought of that in a million years, but it works, oh my god, it WORKS. i think anyone would assume jim just knew how to do, well, just about everything physical and athletic (he exudes that confidence just as you say) but his not ever having learned to swim makes SO MUCH SENSE. wow!! i absolutely loved how you tied it in to bones's fear of flight and space and turned this into something that could bond the boys together. they really, really complement each other (and buoy each other up, hee hee :)) in your stories and that's why i absolutely adore your writing. you're always writing a solid friendship, a partnership, underpinning the love, and you do it so damned well. and this was especially poignant for me. you had no no way of knowing this, but to this day i've never been able to learn how to swim underwater: my breathing conditions and vocal chord ( ... )

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it, hon! I love writing their relationship, and I'm so happy to hear that the emotionality of it resonates with you.

Hang in there sweetie!
