My thoughts for the moment. |
Thank God, I am graduating with honors. :) |
And I just don’t know what to do. |
Собака объелась мыла! I went to Taft Avenue yesterday to go to the gym in the morning. Then I met up with MC to help her with her majors. She left me alone at the conservatory to attend her last class. I checked my mail and received a reply from the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) to my e-mail inquiry about the delay of the delivery of my diploma. To my surprise, they said:
This is in connection with your email to the Office of the University Registrar regarding your diploma.
We regret to inform you that we may not be able to deliver your Diploma and Transcript of Records (souvenir edition) due to your pending accountability wit the Discipline Office.
Please be advised to contact the Discipline Office at 524-4611 ext. 414/611.
I immediately rushed to the Discipline office to settle this misunderstanding. I was informed that I had a three left IDs and it was equivalent to a WARNING. It was not even an offense. To redeem my warning, I should render four hours service to the academic department where my course belongs. It is very inconvenient for me to go to school just to assist my violation five months ago considering that I already graduated. Well, I still have to go to school tomorrow to submit the completion form. I'm not ranting because I dislike the fact that I'm being punished so to speak; but knowing that I've been waiting for my diploma for nothing. If not for my e-mail, I could have waited for half a year already without even knowing why. The good thing is that when I submitted my pre-employment requirements to my employer, you could show either your transcript of scholastic records or your diploma. This instance is not really a big deal, yet it is unexpected. This only proves that there are things that could pop up on your way to something without having any clue that it actually exists. Maturity comes from handling yourself on how you deal with this. Control is the keyword. It is indeed one of the secrets of being mature.
