So 16 weeks since I've been on the LJ, but I feel the need to vent on hearing this news. I just saw on some TV show that they are planning on remaking Bill & Ted. REMAKING?!? WHY!!?!? I can see trying to make a B&T 3 with them older and their Utopian future in motion and then threatened by something and then they have to have more "zany" ( Read more... )

this is most most heinous dude. and so help me god, if they use vince vaughn and owen wilson, i WILL kill someone. you know they are just going to try to make it current, probably even turn bill and ted into rappers, or whiny emo kids, then overload it with special effects, and of course updating it with more current historical figures. this is gonna be awful.

they are also remaking robocop. that may not be so awful, but still, leave it alone.

i get that pretty much everything has been done and there's rarely something original in hollywood, but why remake movies that are 20 yrs old? if you MUST remake something go back to the 40's or 50's. even remaking old sitcoms is better than remaking movies that are barely from the prior generation.
