WOW ! This is a fantastic greeting card ! :) I love very much this Naval Samhain and the brilliant use you made of Irish traditions. From the table cloth and the apple's peel to the Lieutenant and the Commodore, this is a true banquet of wonderful, luscious details. And I love the mix of magic and sweetness of the story. Thank you so much ! And enjoy The Lazy ! :)
Of course, I couldn't possibly resist the temptation of a bunny like that hopping my way! Even if I was very frightened the entire time that experimenting with ink pens would totally ruin the whole project... Glad it turned out nicely enough.
And thanks! I enjoyed The Lazy ~ I hope you could, too. *hugs*
How absolutely adorable! And it all fits in, the tradition, the development of the story - and can I just say that I find the arrangement of the individual panels spot on? The focus on hand, apple and the feet in card no. 3 (aww, I SO know what he hopes the letter will be!) and the lovely centre piece in card four, with the different expressions of the two. I love Gillette's hand offering the apple, so elegant! And of course the loving gaze they exchange in the last card - I'm absolutely in love with this! You tell so much without "writing everything out" - actually, if one knows the custom, 3 - 5 would work even without any text at all, you've done that so well.
You, mylady, could keep up a running monologue in my LJ and I would still hug you, squeeze you and call you George the first moment I got a chance. So nyah! ;)
