May the new year bring you happiness and laughter and sunshine!

*~*~*~*Back home from my last-but-one written test. Surgery. It was so easy it was stupid. I could've popped a DVD into the player and relaxed all evening yesterday instead of studying... Ah well. I didn't. I'm going to make up for it ( Read more... )

"Yeah, so what if it was harder than the last? What if the questions were about stuff nobody but a few geeks in neurology know? I wanted it to be difficult, I wanted people to fail, and I meant to show the losers what happens when they set themselves up for an oral test with me..."
And I believed addled-brained sadistical monsters like that existed only in Italian universities...

(the target of the chamberpot, of course, is meant to be the neurology prof)

No, monsters like that exist here too. And pretty much anywhere else as well ~ luckily we're not in touch with all of them at the same time!

And I love the idea of throwing a (full, naturally) chamberpot in his direction. That'd be exactly the kind of argument he wouldn't expect! *grins evilly*

The law school is plastered with them as well. In my oral examination for the first bar exam two of my fellow students were crying their eyes out in the middle of the exam, because the examiners were so cruel. Grrr. I always imagine that mean profs have nothing to say at home and therefore must get their little kick of power at uni. *narrows eyes*

Have soooooo much fun in London! :)

Out of sheer curiosity: would you mind providing me with some examples of the questions the prof asked in the test ? Just to form an idea of how messed up the man is inside *g*

O_o* That... prof. *ack* Sounds lovely. Just like someone I'd be tempted to feed his own balls to for breakfast... *snark*

And you, lady, are hopeless. ;P

*hugs back*

I've booked the Thursday off work so am available for all of that if you want me! My suggestions include some or all of: Kew Gardens, Camden Market and the arts and crafts warehouse by Algate station...

Really looking forward to seeing you!

I am also potentially available for some evening things on other days, but can't stay out too late or start too early so may be of limited fun in that respect (as anything in Central would really have to start no earlier than about 7:30 and finish no later than about 11...).

YAY!!! Can't wait!

Thursday (and all your suggestions) sound awesome!

Evening things would be fine for me too, if not too late ~ I'd rather rise early and go to bed at a semi-decent time than to stay up late (or early, depending) and then missing the next day because of sleep hang-over. *g*
I guess that makes me a "no fun person" as well, then.

My hotel's close to Hyde Park, or so I am told ~ so within walking distance of quite a few interesting places. *^_____^*

Ooh, OK. That's about half an hour by Tube from my flat, so that's doable. *will watch this space to see who else is around* :D

Hooray!!!! *^_^*

That'd be great! I confess I have absolutely no idea how to determine the When and Where... What's best for you? I guess I'm pretty much free to roam ~ unbound and capable of meeting you anytime.

I'll be staying here, btw.

sildil's away for the weekend, but she's working now so I don't think she'll be able to I might be wrong, but she works until 3.30pm in the week. And I'm having a dodgy patch and doctors to deal with (no offence intended!)

Damn, and I wanted to meet you :(
