so i've been spending some time on youtube & there looks to be quite a number of interesting movies coming out in the next year or so.  apparently there's a 3rd toy story, about what happens to everyone when andy goes off to college & tim burton's alice in wonderland.

that one looks really interesting.  tim burton's always been a little off-kilter

Hee. I'll go see the Alice if I remember to--poor grad student notwithstanding, I can get $4 movie tickets to one of the local theaters through my university student activities board, at which price my bar for going to see something is considerably reduced. With Alice in Wonderland crossed with Tim Burton, I know I'm either going to love or hate it.

Ditto the Holmes. My crazy Holmes immersement phase is so long ago it's fuzzy at the edges, but it's still going to be a love or hate situation. Well, I guess it could be a Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves situation where everything is pretty great except the main character

Mark Strong not playing the villain (or a villain/hero like in The 10th Kingdom) is Gilmore Girls, so I'm not the best judge. What else would you recommend watching?

my first ever experience with mark strong was as mr. knightley in emma with kate beckinsale - personally i thought jeremy northam was better, but it was still enjoyable. i think he also plays the best friend to colin firth in the british fever pitch, but i could be wrong...
