Batya and Alex have departed. We made a lovely meat dinner, with roast chicken (with garlic, shallots and scallions), small red potatoes that tasted buttery despite never being anywhere near butter, steamed snow peas and mushrooms with garlic. Batya and Alex also had dinner rolls; I opted out, as my points for the day would really rather go
