Thank you, once again, Seanan, for the memories of the Bay Area and Santa Cruz. *with tongue in cheek and eyes twinkling* re: There is no pie - There is pie, key lime, in fact, in the freezer, but there is still no spoon. *snicker*
On a more serious note, I am considering playing around with doing some panels in cartoon/anime' fashion. It looks like fun and pen and ink has always been a good medium for me. Tell me, please, do you wear gloves to avoid the hand oils on your panels, and if so, what kind and where do you get them i.e. type of store, or brand or source name, if you can. Thank you.
I should use gloves to protect my paper. Please note the 'should'. I don't. I find that it makes my fingers slippery, and since I do a lot of sociopathically fine line-work, anything that loses a degree of control isn't worth it to me. I'll sometimes use a piece of thin paper on top of the part of the drawing that I'm not working on actively, but that's about it.
We got a 'Return of the King' trailer... I think Matt had an orgasm, right then and there. I can just imagine it! I talked to him and the phone last night and the conversation went "We saw 'Kill Bill' it's packaged with the LOTR trailer!
Warning: It isn't so packages in all theaters -- houses that didn't show the other LotR movies, like the Emery Bay here in Emeryville, won't have The Holy Trailer, 'cos they won't be showing The Sacred Movie.
