This is for mpoetess -- 1,000 words of Lorne/Groo fun and sun. Somewhat slashy, implied sex (especially if you know the lingo), yes, I am occasionally rated M for mature. Don't read if you don't wanna know ( Read more... )

Damn you! Normally I absolutely loathe slashfic, and can barely tolerate regular fanfic, and yet I read your stuff!

Stop being so good, darnit!

*sniffles* Now I'm all sad for Lorne! You're so mean!

(in other words: That was lovely. Keep it up!)

Daaaayyyyymn.

You got his voice down perfect. I could hear him.

Admit it, this was from A Very Special Episode of Angel, right? Right? I knew I missed one!

Absolutely freaking wonderful. You have Lorne's voice down to a T, including that painful level of irony and sadness that's really there in canon, behind the optimism and jokes.

The boy’s like a big, buff Amelia Bedelia

*sporfle*

that doesn’t mean he has the sense of comedic timing Balthar gave the little green monkeys of the Irritating Rash dimension

Again, *sporfle*. Repeated sporfle. You have a great talent for sarcastic humor.

And in the end, when he walks away, he won’t even say goodbye, because Pylea teaches you how to hurt people, and he was always beautifully Pylean.

And then *bam*. Boot to the head. That just gets right in there and doesn't let the reader pretend that Lorne can be dismissed because he's funny and flambuoyent, because he cuts right to the bone.

I love this -- thank you so much!

I'm really glad you liked it! I was hugely torn this time, because I knew that if I did Spike/Xander, it would be a followup to 'Finding Neverland', soooo...

I was worried, things went well, life is good. And you are happy, and since the fic was for you, life is even better.

I am *very* happy. (All my threats to force the next poor sucker into writing S/X by hook or by crook are utterly unrelated to the wonderfulness that is this story. Which I realize I said before but feel the need to reiterate!)
