This morning, I woke up with a long white and blue cat stretched out on my legs, pinning me in place as best as she could with the full force of her sixteen pounds and abiding desire for me not to go to work. I told her she was a good girl and put her on the pillow, and left the house

Kimba seemed terribly confused (though pleased) when I didn't get up and go to work last Thursday (holiday) or Friday (alternate Friday off, 9-hr standard day).

Our Nova will be similarly baffled next week. $EMPLOYER gave us the entire week off. Luna will just hide under the bed or in the basement, per usual.

(Our part-Siamese cat is allegedly my cat. He likes me well enough. He is crazy mad in love with the spousal unit. Runs and waits for him at the door, calls for him through the house, doesn't really believe it's food if I put it in the dish, refuses to consider the idea huisband could sit down without a cat in his lap. Ah, Siamese.)
