1. All PAID pre-orders have been a) mailed, or b) packaged for mailing. The ones that got their 'your order has been mailed!' emails tonight will either hit the post office tomorrow or early on Monday

A: Print out mailing labels. They will save much sanity, time and fingers. Go to office supply store, get self-adhesive labels, print, write the next Toby book in the time saved.
B: Pre-order means just that. If someone places a pre-order, they pay ON THE SPOT. Otherwise it's not an anything-order, it's a nice polite request. An order involves payment, period.
If they can't afford an item when it comes up for sale, then they have to wait for when they can afford it.
C: Yes, eliminate cash. I wouldn't take checks either, but that's just me. Anyone with a bank account can use PayPal to transfer out of it.
D: If you wish to accept payments by mail, make an order form, and have them print it out and mail it to you WITH PAYMENT. Thus the order does not exist until you have payment.
Agreed; I have never had a problem with PayPal (except that they won't accept the joint credit card my spouse and I have, 'cause he entered its number first, so I have to use... the debit card that's attached to my checking account...), but I know people who have and who don't trust PayPal at all.
Hence why I won't accept them. If I deposit a rubber check, it's a black mark against ME at my bank, which alone isn't worth the hassle. Then I have to follow up by chasing down the person who wrote it, etc etc.
Hm. I pre-ordered and paid via pay-pal (paypal email address was kris (at)siers(dot)name, but didn't get a shipping mail yet. Did you recieve the money? Hope my account didn't eat the mail.
Your shipping notice ought to have reached you last night, when I packaged your CD for mailing -- since '.name' isn't a domain I've ever seen before, it was odd enough to catch my attention.

Problem solved.
PS: Saw these, thought you needed one. Alas, all sold out. But still...
