See, I kept trying to figure out just how that combination of scents had anything to do with classic SF writer Theodore Sturgeon. (After all, they've done Gaiman-related stuff...)
about 2. I can let you know what it smells like, I am going to will call tomorrow - if you want. I have had dreams like that, so I too am tempted.
And August is Halloween, and then September/November before budget recovers is Christmas. I keep telling myself, I have enough of both to last me the full month, and then I remind myself, well, yeah, but who says Halloween needs to be limited to October, and how long will they really last me if I am wearing them year round?
Have you been to Brooklyn? Mmmmm New York Pizza, preferably from a Greek pizza place. No other pizza like it.
I'm from NY, and I'm desperately trying to figure out why you would NOT want to go into Manhattan. See, I just moved to LA, and I *miss* the subway, right down to the rats and the faintly mysterious but nevertheless pervasive scent of urine. (Maybe it's rat urine? That, my friend, is how New Yorkers comfort themselves.) Seriously, you want to go to the Village and have a drink at The Slaughtered Lamb, followed up by a game of pool at Fat Cat Billiards. You'll love it, trust me!
My most memorable rat encounter: I had been to a late showing of the velociraptor movie (which title has fled my aluminized brain). I come down into an empty station, very late at night, dark and shadowy. WITH A GIANT RAT SITTING ON THE PLATFORM ON ITS HIND LEGS, CHITTERING AT ME!!! *ON THE PLATFORM*!!!
(I'm used to seeing them on the rails; this was my first encounter in areas that I actually walk.)
Porcinea, hee! *My* favorite is of sitting down on a bench next to an old guy eating peanuts ... wondering what the crinkling sound is ... looking over to see that he's got a bag of peanuts ... and then noticing that he's feeding the peanuts to not one, but TWO ROUS's. It was awesome.
The forum only scent is, in fact, delicious. I am trying to decide if I can afford two bottles so that I will be more willing to part with decanted imps.
Though looking back at the list, the corriander explains the one little bit of soapiness to it which was bothering me, but the blueberry and currant with a tiny bit of spiciness from the musk and ginger and smoothness from the vanilla is really what you end up with. It's like wearing a really good blueberry tart. Not too sweet, but fruity and yummy.

(I mean, the idea of them. Not your encountering their husks or grisly leavings.)

Is it bad that your description of the NY Subway system only enhances my desire to go back again?

What it has to do with crawdads, I don't know.
